North Broward Medical Center is a 409-bed licensed community hospital providing comprehensive inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services to Broward County since 1961. Services include CT/MRI imaging center, inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation center, cardiac services, diabetes center and a dedicated hospice unit. The Emergency Department, offering 24 hour care for illness and injury, houses the only adult level II trauma center in Broward County.

The Neurological Institute at North Broward Medical Center is a comprehensive neurological services facility. It provides evaluation for stroke, Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson's disease, sleep disorders, dizziness and balance disorders and hearing disorders. Other features include a neurodiagnostic laboratory, neurosurgery, interventional neuro-radiology, rehabilitation services, clinical drug trials, caregiver support groups and free screenings. National organizations available on-site to patients through the Neurological Institute include the American Parkinson's Disease Association and the Brian Injury Association of South Florida.

In January 2006, North Broward Medical Center earned the Gold Seal of Approval as a primary stroke center by the nations leading health care evaluation and accreditation organization – the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO). North Broward Medical Center is currently the only hospital in Broward County north of I-595 to have this distinction.

The comprehensive cancer center at North Broward Medical Center is fully accredited by the American College of Surgeons and affiliated with H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute, a national cancer institute comprehensive cancer center. The center offers cancer diagnosis and treatment, including inpatient and outpatient care, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, pain management, genetic testing, counseling and support groups. Our alliance with Moffitt ensures faster, more convenient access to clinical research discoveries, continuing education for physicians and nurses, an efficient system by which patients can receive second opinions and access to high quality cancer care, administered right here in South Florida.
