Dear Dad, Yours Truly is a rock band based out of Miami, FL, founded in July of 2007. The band consists of four young guys looking to make a big difference in the world through their music. Perhaps a bit cliché, you might say, but not in the sense that faith takes more than proclamation, it takes demonstration, and that is the band's sole intent. To demonstrate to the world that one person really can make a difference in doing what they love most, what they do best, and what they have been called to do. History is defined as "acts, ideas, or events that will or can shape the course of the future." DDYT is doing their part to leave a lasting impression in time by communicating a message of hope through the songs they write, the shows they play, and the way they live. DDYT encourages everyone to do the same in the best way that they can. Set aside trivial matters, look at the big picture, and ask," How will history remember me?" Stop and pretend for a moment that life has background music like in the movies. What would your song be saying? What melody would play to the beat of your walk? Ultimately, your song will be heard by everyone around you, but will it be remembered, and how? These are the questions Dear Dad, Yours Truly strives to help you find the answers to.
